Crackerjacks Store Portraits - THIS SUNDAY!

Well, I've been a busy lady and because of that I forgot to send the smoke signals out that I am having a Portrait Special day this Sunday at Crackerjacks clothing store, off Piedmont Ave. I have been photographing in the window there for over 5 years now...Elizabeth (the owner there) is wonderful and has been so welcoming to me over the years! If you have not been to her store, you need to come. It's a beautiful baby/kids store, new and resale clothing as well as a very generous selection of eco-friendly products! Toys and otherwise....and a GREAT selection of Halloween costumes.

So, this Sunday, I will be doing portraits there, you must sign up for a time slot. If you are interested, and only if you will for sure be able to come, call the store at 510-654-8844 to sign up! The fee is $75.

Fall is here! Yesterday was the last day of summer...although here in the bay area you'd hardly know it was fall. These record temps are great...but getting a bit draining. Well last weekend, while we had a quick rainfall I had a session with this wonderful family that I met last year at my studio, but this time we met at their house. So much fun, and the rain actually added a nice texture to the whole thing.

BEAUTIFUL new product!

I love love love this new thing I'm doing. I found a place that mounts photos onto really beautiful bamboo bases. I love this. The photo is flush with the edge, and it just pops off the wall. Check them out!

It's also a super cool alternative to framing or even canvas (which I still love). Just another cool option of something you can do with our photos!

Well, she did it. My baby turned 5. She's so tall. She's so fun. She loves Barbie. See below. The photos we did outside were mostly directed by her...

It's true, I LOVE doing home portrait sessions. It's so nice to be able to hang out with the kiddos to see their rooms, to see how they play, play dress up,hug their parents. Don't get me wrong, photographing in all settings is great, but to be able to get a glimpse of different lives, and to take my shoes off and be creative...it's great.
