This past weekend I ended up in "Black Rock City", aka. Burning Man. Been thinking about it for years, and this year the opportunity presented itself. I figured, I'm 37, I've got two little kids, AND I have a 'free' weekend (my husband was able to watch them/sleepovers were planned etc)....why not? So off I went, with a couple of my favorite people ever...and we had a blast. I met some wonderfully caring people, and I was amazed at the sharing-ness of everything. The dust was a little much, a little crazy, but once I accepted that it wouldn't go away, it as all fine. I embraced the "Pigpen" in me (although it wasn't hard to find).
I didn't shoot much, I was too busy looking at everything and soaking it all in. And I'm happy I did that. I did get a few shots I really like...I'm sharing them here!

Amy! LOVE that you went to Burning Man and also LOVE that you were brave enough to bring your camera out in that dust storm. :-) Great shots on the blog, from BM to Frances England (so cool!) and your summer recap.
